Digital Printing Services
Dear Fellow Artist,
As an artist I appreciate the value of the opportunity to expand the exposure and marketability of artwork. Since you can make only so much artwork by hand, digital printmaking can expand your production and allow you to sell your work at more accessible prices to your patrons. This can be achieved through the process of fine art digital printmaking on a cost effective basis. I am making my large format printing services available to you and your associates at very reasonable rates.
My goal is to simplify the process by personally assisting you in the creation of fine art prints using high quality archival media and UV resistant pigmented ink to create high quality (giclee) prints. My printer prints on up to 42 inch wide material with 3/4" borders and as long as system memory will allow. While a variety of media is available I am offering an introductory flat rate on canvas prints of $7.00 per square foot and archival papers at $5.00 per square foot or less for some papers. These prices are much less than others charge. A 50% deposit is required for all projects. Special order media may take several days to receive.
My studio is located in the safe Ironworks district of Jack London Square at Third and Jefferson. Free parking is available at my building. No minimum number of prints is required. No setup fee is charged if you provide printer ready image files. All files should be in RGB format and saved as TIFF, EPS PSD or JPG image formats. I can assist in image preparation at $25.00 per hour and CDs of final files is $4.00 each.
Files should be at least 150 to 300 dpi and 250 megabytes or smaller to be manageable. The higher the resolution the larger the print size can be without image quality loss. I always print at the highest resolution of 1200 by 600 dpi. Finished prints can be coated with gloss, satin, or matte finish coating at $1.50 per square foot and recommended for canvas. Finished print are rolled and wrapped in clear plastic bags and shipping is also available in crush resistant 3 inch cardboard tubes.
